6/3-13/3 2010 24/9-1/10 2010 You are cordially invited to stay on a small farm in the scenic fishing village of Laukvik in the Lofoten Islands, a venue set in spectacular natural surroundings where you can see the Northern Lights and the difference between high and low tide, sit and feel your own pulse, meet new people and above all be yourself. You are welcome to paint or just be inspired in our atelier. You can go hunting the perfect photo motif in the local surroundings, or sit quietly writing. Perhaps you have a recipe, a painting technique, a song or a poem you wish to share with others? The village is an excellent starting point for hiking, cycling and fishing trips in the local area. Perhaps you would prefer to sit in the rocking chair and look out across the sea and mountains, watching a sea eagle glide past. You can also stroll across the fields down to the shore, sit on the bench or go exploring among all the things the waves have washed ashore. We have breakfast together in the Guesthouse.(included in the price). No special programme the rest of the day. The local inn, "Fyret", down by the harbour, serves different kind of meals. Viva Lofoten has a large, modern and well-equipped kitchen if you want to make your own meals. I can be of assistance in contacting the Polar Light Centre (lectures about the Northern Lights), Lofoten Kavlbinderi (local history and courses in binding glass floats), Husfruer (various hobby courses), Kinesiolog / neuro-trainer Kari Elzinga and Gallery Magica, all of which are found in Laukvik. Viva Lofoten offers single and double rooms. Price NOK 2700 per person in doubleroom and NOK 3400 in singelroom (accommodation and breakfast included). |
